Annual Budget Vote and School Board Election will take place
Tuesday, June 9, 2020 Via Absentee Ballot
Per the Governor's Executive Order 202.26, voting may only take place by mail.
Qualified voters of the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District will receive absentee ballots by mail.
Three (3) School Board Member positions in the Croton-Harmon Union Free School District will be filled by election on June 9, 2020. Each position is for a three-year term, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023. Each position is at-large, to be elected by all participating voters.
In accordance with Executive Order No. 202.26, there will be no minimum threshold number of signatures required for individuals to be placed on the ballot, except that they must meet all other qualifications:
Qualifications for service as a member of the School Board are: Must be a citizen of the United States of America; must be a minimum of 18 years of age; must be a resident of the District for one year prior to the election; and must be able to read and write. Candidates will be listed on the ballot alphabetically.
Residents of the District who desire to run for a position on the School Board must file a nominating form with the School District Clerk on or before 5:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2020.
The Annual Meeting, including the election of School Board Member(s), the votes on the 2020-2021 school district and library budgets and a proposition authorizing the District to borrow funds for the purchase of school buses, will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 via absentee ballot.
