Committee Charge: The District Wellness and Social-Emotional Learning Committee (formally SELC) serves as a collaborative advisory group that guides the district in promoting comprehensive wellness and SEL initiatives. The committee includes district leaders, educators, school counselors, nurses, parents, students, and representatives from the district’s food service provider. Its work focuses on ensuring equitable access to nutritious meals, physical activity, and social-emotional supports, fostering safe and inclusive school climates, monitoring trends within the school community, and recommending evidence-based strategies that support the health, well-being, and academic success of all students.
