Congratulations to Gabby Stok, who has been named a Finalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Gabby’s achievement places her among more than 15,000 students nationwide, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school graduating seniors. She originally qualified through her outstanding performance on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), taken by more than 1.3 million students across the country. Finalist recognition reflects both exceptional academic performance and sustained achievement.
For Gabby, the recognition represents years of dedication and a commitment to continuous growth.
“It feels amazing to have my hard work recognized and know that the effort I put into it paid off,” Gabby said. “I found out on my way to school and saw Ms. Nadeem as I was walking into the building, so she was actually the first to know.”
Gabby shared that a strong internal drive has played a key role in her academic success. “What has helped me the most has been a relentless sense of always wanting to do better and learn more,” she said. “I hope to keep this momentum going as I choose where I want to attend university and continue to strive for the high goals I set for myself.”
“Gabby’s recognition as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist is a wonderful celebration of her curiosity, dedication, and love of learning,” said Zoha Nadeem, school counselor at Croton-Harmon High School. “This achievement reflects years of hard work and readiness for the challenges ahead, and we are incredibly proud to see her accomplishments recognized at the national level.”
