Please join us virtually for: 

Practical Advice and Discussion During the Pandemic;

3 workshops to help parents deal with current concerns

  • How to Support your Child with Technology During Remote Learning - Presenter Jennifer Harriton-Wilson (Education Technology Coordinator, Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES)

This session will help you think through the different aspects of remote learning with an eye on helping your child be as comfortable and successful as possible. Join us as we share strategies for positive outcomes.

  • Social Emotional Learning in the Home -  Presenter Michael Plotkin (Principal of PVC)

During this workshop, the RULER approach will be reviewed. Parents will learn ways in which they can support this work with their children at home. The goal is to provide parents with insights into how to foster emotional transparency at home and help our children become more resilient. 

  • Tips for Remote Learning and Socializing/Gaming During the Pandemic - Presenters Eric Rosen & Leandra Ramirez CHHS psychologists), and Josephine Rinaldi (district behaviorist)

An informal discussion about the “new normal”. The presenters will provide tips on remote learning and an exploration of how children can socialize during these unprecedented timesincluding discussion regarding online platforms used for socialization and how parents can help manage this type of engagement.
