PVC Performs Seussical Jr.
Seussical Jr. is a Hit on the Stage
Our middle school students deserve one star, two stars, a red star, and a blue star for their performance!
On a Friday night, in the auditorium of the school, under bright lights, to have fun was the rule.
The performers were ready, crew and pit were all set. The audience was excited but could never expect, the performance that awaited them would be the best they’d seen yet!
They sang and they danced, it was quite the production. You’d be hard-pressed to find another like it up or down the Hudson.
A musical named Seussical was sure to be clever, but the PVC performers made it a magical endeavor. A standing ovation would only be proper, for everyone was proud, even the Dr.!
Red and white striped hats off to the PVC students for their talented performances of Seussical Jr. this past weekend. The group brought to life some of Dr. Seuss’ most beloved stories from Horton Hears a Who!, Gertrude McFuzz and Horton Hatches an Egg. Eighth-grader Ben Caputo (Horton) fell in love with acting on the Yorktown Stage and describes his second play with CHUFSD as “Amazing!” Although she started acting at the age of seven, Summer Stern’s role as Mayzie was her first PVC performance. Both Ben and Summer plan to continue acting in high school.
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew– there are surely no limits to the amazing things you can do! (Last rhyme, we promise.)
