Croton-Harmon Chorus, Orchestra, and Concert and Jazz Bands Spread Holiday Cheer with Winter Concert
From Stephen Sondheim to Leonard Bernstein, Bruno Mars to Miles Davis, the Croton-Harmon High School Chorus, Orchestra, and Concert and Jazz Bands performed a wide range of musical pieces at its annual winter concert. The evening began with five songs performed by the 14-member chorus, including California Dreamin’, an apt choice for a gray-skied, (almost) winter’s day. Next up was the concert band, composed of 43 musicians, followed by the string orchestra, with musicians on violin, viola and cello.The jazz band, which includes six students on electric and bass guitars,closed out the night by performing a diverse, six-piece set.
